Jamie Nahanee is a young artist from the Squamish Nation, born in 2009, who began carving in the summer of 2025. Jamie was inspired to become an artist after seeing the work of Troy Baker and developing a strong interest in learning the art of carving. Wanting to follow this path, Jamie began learning the skills and techniques of carving with guidance and teaching from Troy Baker and Jacob George, who have shared their knowledge and experience. Through their support and mentorship, Jamie has started the journey as a carver and continues to learn and develop skills while building a connection to the art form.
