This deeply carved mask depicts a Wild Woman or Tzoonaqa and is beautifully painted. Traditionally, Tzoonaqa masks are painted in black but the artist created this unique white mask. It does however have the traditional horse hair, and the eyes have two abalone shells with cedar bark braided and wrapped around to frame the face.
