Moon mask carved from red cedar detailed with paint and abalone by Coast Salish artist Ted Baker. The paint has a metal shinny touch. Design incorporates a moon of human face in the middle and two wolves at sides. The mask has a story written by the artist and titled “The Wolves Within” at the back. In the story Grand Father said “It is as if there are two wolves inside me. One is good… and lives in harmony… but the other wolf, ah, he is full of anger… both of them try to dominate my spirit”. Story is about how we all have to make a decision. Very special piece of art.
