Norm Charlie has hand carved these plaques out of tight-grained yellow cedar and applied a colour wash to exemplify the detail of the fine cuts. The Salmon and Medicine Women are represented in the first plaque and a portrait of her partner the Eagle Dancer is evident; the eagle signifies wealth, power and prestige among the Coast Salish People.
