There are many tribal and village variations to this mask and many ways to describe this character. The Pugmis is similar to the Wild Man, but he lives in the undersea world. Though the Pugmis is a specific type of Wild Man with specific mannerisms and unique relationships with each village, according to circumstances of the time. This is the first Pugmis mask Ted Baker has ever created. With its stark white face, spiralling features and blowing mouth this piece is very dramatic.
