Halibut and Whale Bowl

Description

A very unique carving by one of the most talented master artists. One side of the carving is the halibut bowl, showing a halibut with head and tail. The bowl is 10 1/2″x5″x1″. Inside the bowl is another carved design of a killer whale, sea monster and salmon. There are 3 pieces of abalone shell laid in the eyes. The head has abalone eyes and another abalone shell laid in. On the side, representing the fin is the raven. The tail is fully carved as a sea monster head with abalone eyes. The other side of the carving represents a whale. The head has an abalone eye. There is another raven replacing the fin, an eagle and sea monster design. 3 more abalone shells are laid in. the tail is another sea monster face with abalone eyes. This piece is nicely painted and simply beautiful!
