Eagle and Salmon Feather

$350.00 CAD

Description

This feather design incorporates both an eagle and salmon. Stan Joseph added an incredible amount of detail that shows up beautifully on the yellow cedar is was carved onto.

Eagle: In some Haida legends, Eagle and Raven are close companions and serve as alter egos to one another. They symbolize the power of the Great Spirit, representing peace, friendship, new beginning and the awakening of soul consciousness.

Salmon: In many Northwest Coast cultures, Salmon are associated with twins and are therefore usually carved in pairs. Any twin could claim Salmon as a crest of lineage. They symbolize abundance, fertility, prosperity and renewal.
