Darren Yelton had hand carved this contemporary coffee table out of tight-grained yellow cedar in 2000. In 2016 Jimmy Joseph repainted it and applied vibrant hues of acrylic colours. The table is animated with various Coast Salish figures such as the Bald Eagle, Wolf, Bear, Salmon, Sun Mask and the Killer Whale. The Killer Whales (also known as Orcas) reside in the North Pacific waters and may emerge as ancestors; they are believed to be reincarnations of deceased Chief’s. This is a stunning piece and a great conversation piece for your living room.
