Troy Baker is a talented carver from Squamish Nation, born in September 1982. Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions of his heritage, Troy began carving at the age of twelve, mentored by his father, Richard Baker, a master carver, and his uncle Mathew Baker. Specializing in drums, small plaques, talking sticks, Troy’s work continues the legacy of his family.
Outside of his art, Troy is an avid athlete, playing both lacrosse and hockey. He also has a deep love for the outdoors, particularly fishing and hunting, which help connect him to his roots and inspire his creative journey.
