Ted was born in 1966 and grew up on the North Shore near Capilano River.

He is a member of the Squamish Nation and started carving when he was 14 years old. His first teacher was his father Albert Baker and his brother Fred Baker Jr. Ted family mainly carved masks, smaller totem poles, rattles, and figurines. He likes to use the wood of cedar, red and yellow cedar. He is a member of the Ceremonial Dance Group, which performs just for the members of the band. They keep these dances close to their heart and hold them sacred. In these dances, Ted represents the Sasquatch. Ted is married with 3 children and has become a master artist.
