Rob was born in 1957 in Mission, BC. He is part of the Stó:lõ (River People) band of the Coast Salish Nation.
Inspired by the art work created by his older brother, Marvin Dana Baker, Robert began carving in his late teens. Now Robert carves superb burls, plaques, totem poles and talking sticks, which are all eagerly sought by avid collectors of the Northwest Coast Art.
