John Henry is a member of the Kwakiutl Nation hailing from Vancouver Island, and is a talented artist. While still young, he discover his passion for art and began his skills under the guidance of some exceptional mentors, including Tony Hunt, Stan Hunt, Richard Hunt, and his grandfather Henry.
John specializes in making mini totem poles and carving masks and table sculptures.
He draws his inspiration primarily from his family. Their unwavering support and encouragement have fueled his creativity and artistic development.
His art serves as a meditative practice allowing him to find solace, tranquility, and healing.
He aims to aim to elevate and promote indigenous art and continue what his grandfather did.
