Born on August 27th, 1962, Alexi Underwood is of Coast Salish and Campbell River Kwa Guilth descent.
He was taught by his mother Marie E Moody and was greatly influenced by his grandfather Laquse Hamis James.

He was always fond of his grandfather’s paintings and carvings. His artworks are characteristic of the artwork of his family and of those of Coast Salish and Kwa Guilth descent. Alexi is very proud of the hard work and the dedication that is evident in his carvings.

Alexi Underwood was born with a gift and is passionate about pursuing a career in carving and sharing his art with people around the world. His artworks are already being collected by people around the world.
